How to fix tuner
So you turned TV around to hook up a new DVD player but you forgot how short
the cable wire was. And before you know it POP! The wire comes off and the tuner fitting
is still inside! Now What? Glue? Tape? I've seen both! Well we're going to show you
Fix it and fix it right.
1.The First thing is to remove the tuner. Use the unsoldering technique to remove the tuner   from the main board.

2.Remove the side covers from the tuner. If the frame is bent use pliers
and straighten it. 3.Look at the inside but Don't touch the parts inside!
4.Locate the little stub left over from when the fitting tore off.
Locate stub
5.Very carefully unsolder the stub, from the foil side. Without disturbing the small parts
soldered to the foil side of the board.

6.Prepare the new fitting by removing the tabs at the bottom of the fitting.
Very few tuners use the tabs. Also cut off the center conductor where it bends.
Remove tabs and Cut Conductor
7.Solder the short piece of wire from the kit to the center conductor.
8.Place tuner in a vertical position and snake the wire through the hole
in the circuit board. And solder.

9.Solder the new fitting to the frame of the tuner. Using an old hook up
cable screwed on to the fitting makes a good handle while soldering.
Even so a third hand makes things easier.

10.Check your work very carefully for solder bridges. and reinstall the side
  covers.
11.Reinstall the tuner to the board and resolder. Check your work.
  Your Done!
