There so dirty , heads that is
After all the hours of joyous movies, the day has come for the big cleaning. Now we all want to save money, but if you don't do it right, how much have you saved? We
will skip the instructions on taking the case apart. The reason is each vcr will have
a different case configuration. If you can't figure out the case, then perhaps you should
take the unit to an authorized service center.
The first thing you will notice will be a large silver cylinder assembly. This is the
drum assembly. It contains your video heads and stereo audio heads.

1.Pour some denatured or isoprople alcohol on the head cleaning stick and wipe the drum
in the direction of the arrows.
If you move the stick vertically you will break the head tips!!
On stubborn dirt slight pressure may be needed. Or additional alcohol.

2.The second most important place to clean is the audio/control head assembly.
In addition to the capstan and tape guides shown.

3.Next clean the full erase head assembly and guides shown in the picture.

4.Finally the loading post assemblys and any other tape guides your particular
  machine may have.

Head Cleaning Stick shipping included
Now you have a vcr as clean as the day it came out of the box.
